Montessori Nursery

The child is born with an absorbent mind that helps to construct self-personality and growth through interaction with adults and the environment. During the 0 to 3 years stage, children unconsciously absorb their living environment, so we are particularly concerned about the setting of the classroom environment. We use furniture suitable for their physical development, tools prepared for their small hands to use, and all the materials that aid their developmental needs. These materials and activities have been chosen and set up carefully by the director. We bring the natural world into the classroom so that children can take care of plants and observe animals to gain an understanding of the world in which we live.

Through the gentle and professional guidance of the director, the child can work with aids to psycho-sensory motor development (hand-eye coordination activities), practical life activities, language, cultural and group activities. The child explores the environment with their small hands and work with different learning materials, to establish the basic model of personality and intelligence. All of these activities help the child to build in order, develop physical coordination, concentration and independence.

Emile provides a nurturing environment full of respect, love, and care to guide each unique child, so that children can grow and develop at their own pace.

The activities of the work include:

Aids to psycho-sensory motor development (hand-eye coordination activities)

Children aged 0-3 need to develop hand-eye coordination and body equilibrium.

In Emile’s classroom, we set up different aids to psycho-sensory motor development (hand-eye coordination activities) to meet the children's needs for the harmonious development of the whole body.

In these activities, we take the mastery of action as the goal of development.

These activities include sorting, threading, putting in, sticking, cutting, sewing and other gross or fine motor development activities. These activities develop eye-hand coordination, body equilibrium, and teach cause and effect relationships.

Practical life activities

Children can learn to care of themselves, others, and the environment at a very young age.

Dr. Montessori called this area of learning ‘Practical life activities’.

  • Care of Self: dressing, washing hands, toilet independence, preparing food, etc.

  • Care of Environment: cleaning, washing cloth, polishing, flower arrangement, sweeping, watering plants, etc.

  • Social Development: grace and courtesy lessons include carrying, greeting, saying ‘please’ and ‘thank you’, etc.

Language

Children are born with the ability to develop language. We provide an environment for real interaction between children and adults, allowing children to develop positive oral expression. Through language activities set up by the director, such as naming and classifying real objects, classifying cards and matching with the real objects, singing songs, rhythm with body movement, reading picture books, etc. Children can freely express themselves and talk to each other in a peaceful and friendly environment.

Cultural themes and Group activities

Cultural themed activities allow children to learn about our culture and festivals, enhance their understanding of the local culture, and develop the love of art through introductions and artistic creations.

Additionally, music and songs play a vital role in the children's development. It is another important developmental aspect we emphasize. We introduce different percussion instruments and music to develop their sense of rhythm and their love of music.
